How much do you charge for your services?

Nina charges $200 for an initial 1-hour session and $150 for a 45-minute follow-up session. Additional package options are available where several sessions and services are bundled together at a discounted price.

Do you accept insurance?

Nina does not accept health insurance at this time. however she can provide a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance company. When submitting a superbill, reimbursement is not guaranteed. To learn more about whether medical nutrition therapy is a covered benefit under your insurance, call the number on the back of your insurance card and inquire about your coverage. The procedure codes used for medical nutrition therapy (MNT) are 97802 (initial assessment) and 97803 (follow-up). Ask them if coverage is dependent on your diagnosis and how many sessions you can get reimbursed for and provide them with your nutrition related diagnosis.  


Nutrition sessions are eligible for reimbursement with a flexible spending account (FSA) or health savings account (HSA). 

Do you offer telehealth sessions?

Nina conducts all nutrition sessions virtually via a private HIPAA compliant telehealth platform Practice Better.

What does a functional nutrition approach entail?

Functional nutrition is all about addressing the root causes of disease versus just chasing the symptoms. Nina uses the 5R framework to individualize a treatment plan to help you feel your best. This may include all or some of the following:

  1. Removing food sensitivities and gut imbalances

  2. Replacing with digestive support in the form of specific foods, digestive enzymes and/or other supplements as needed

  3. Replenish with probiotics and prebiotics for a balanced gut microbiome

  4. Repairing with soothing foods, vitamins, and supplements

  5. Rebalancing your lifestyle by incorporating stress management practices to heal your mind, body, and soul

Is nutrition counseling right for me?

Chances are you’ve been dealing with chronic digestive symptoms and inflammation for a while and you are looking for symptom relief.
